The New Day

Do you ever wonder what Jesus felt

When He first burst out of the tomb,

When light flooded the darkness

And victory burned away the gloom?

The tumult of Joy he must have felt

Pounding within His chest;

Knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt

That He had passed the Test!!

His body was no longer in torment and pain,

His Spirit was forsaken no longer!

His wounds were healed, He was whole again,

Not as before, but resurrected and stronger!!

He broke the chains of death and sin,

He held the proof in His Hands!

Now He could let His Spirit within

The hearts and lives of Man!
